The crux of our designer jewelry collection, however, features the industry's finest diamond-imitating cubic zirconia. These are flawless, sparkling, multi-faceted stones that can be made in any color and resemble the richest diamonds so perfectly, even a trained jeweler cannot distinguish them from genuine top-quality diamonds with the naked eye.

How can you tell that you have a high-quality cubic zirconia item? Here are some helpful hints:

• Hold the item up to the light. If you see any cloudiness, film, or dullness, you are probably looking at cut glass, not a genuine CZ. High-quality cubic zirconia should reflect an array of light colors, just like a genuine diamond.
• Pay close attention to the cut of your stone. Well made CZs should be multi-faceted, cut from every angle and the more deeply cut, the better to reflect rich light and color.
• Also notice the stone's setting. Generally, prong settings or open-cut settings that allow the light to reflect through from a variety of angles will guarantee your item maximum sparkle. Again, this attention to detail will make all the difference in the look of your designer jewelry item.

We also carry a number of pearl items. A few of these are simulated pearls that have been custom treated to resemble the finest genuine pearls, and are lifetime guaranteed to maintain their perfect lustre and shine. Most of our items, however, feature genuine freshwater pearls in gorgeous pinks, creams, and smoky greys.

Metals & Finish Types

We offer you a wide variety of finish types to match your tastes and budget - and all of them at an exceptional, unmatched value. Here's some detail on what your product description types mean.

Genuine .925 sterling silver. This is government regulated silver that is tested and stamped to contain a minimum of 92.5% genuine sterling silver throughout the whole of the item. Genuine sterling is strong, durable, and has a beautiful reflective value; however, it will naturally tarnish when exposed to the oxygen in the air. To minimize tarnish, keep your jewelry items in an airtight container or plastic baggie - and wear often - wearing it keeps it shiny!

Rhodium sterling silver. Rhodium is a special finish type that's applied over the surface of your jewelry item. It adds a special lustre that makes the item more durable and shinier, giving it the look of expensive platinum items. It also minimizes tarnishing. For these reasons, rhodium finished jewelry items are priced slightly higher; however, you should expect them to last a lifetime - well worth the minimal difference. Some jewelry stores use the term "Platinum finish" for rhodium plated items; however, we prefer not to use this term, as we consider it inaccurate, and do not want to mislead customers into believing that genuine platinum is used in the product - it is NOT. Be cautious of jewelry stores claiming to use a platinum finish. While certainly beautiful, real platinum carries a cost of thousands of dollars, even in very small quantities. This is what makes rhodium finished silver so popular at such a fantastic value.

Electroplate silver and gold. We are VERY picky about our electroplate items. We use only the finest electroplate of sterling silver and genuine 24k yellow gold and white gold. Unlike the industry standard for electroplate items, which is only 5 to 7 mils of genuine precious metals, we carry items with 50 to 100 mils of heavy, durable electroplating. This is why we are able provide a lifetime guarantee that they will not fade, chip, or discolor, with proper care. Again, these are NOT to be confused with cheap imitation jewelry pieces. They are fine jewelry items that you can expect to enjoy for many years.
